MAG Avenue Migration - Australian Immigration Experts
GENERAL SKILLED MIGRATION We have expertise in: Occupation Lists Schedule 1 - for those who apply before 1 July 2010. Schedule 2 - Occupations for those who may apply under the transitional arrangements. If you were on a Vocational and Educational Training Sector, Higher Education Sector or Postgraduate Research Sector visa (572/573/574) as of 8 February 2010, you can still apply for a Temporary Graduate (485) visa based on these occupations provided you apply before 31 December 2012, though if you intend on applying for General Skilled Migration after that you must nominate an occupation in Schedule 3 or 4. Those who held a 485 visa or had a pending 485 application on 8 February 2010 may nominate an occupation listed in Schedule 2 for their General Skilled Migration visa application if they apply before 31 December 2012. Schedule 3 - those who apply for independent and Australian relative sponsored skilled migration (Classes VE, VF, VC and VB visas). Schedule 4 - those who apply for Subclass 176, 475, 487 and 886 visas and are sponsored by a State/Territory government. State Sponsorship Occupation Lists If Your Occupation is Not Sponsored If your occupation is not sponsored by the State/Territory, you may still obtain sponsorship in some jurisdictions, under certain circumstances. The Federal Government allows for a quota of visa for each State/Territory to nominated applicants with occupations not on the Skilled Occupation list. Keep in mind that meeting DIAC's visa criteria such as obtaining a positive skills assessment will not necessarily result in approval for State/Territory Sponsorship. You must meet the additional criteria for the State/Territory approved occupation. This may include financial capacity, more onerous English language requirements, or require you to have undertaken a period of study in that State/Territory. These are specific to each region and subject to change. Contact us if you require more information. Top header: Great Ocean Road, VictoriaSecond header: Lighthouse at Port Fairy, Victoria |
